Why you should still be celebrating your milestones
I know, we’ve all just been getting through January… often we’re just trying to get through the day.
Menopause is no different and so often framed as just that. ‘Something to get through’ and out the other side of.
But what if this season isn’t just about coping?
What if it’s also about recognising how far you’ve come? Sometimes it may be, small wins but they are still wins, and they are signs of growth, like getting through a week of broken sleep, having the courage to ask for support, leaving work on time, just saying no or choosing rest instead of pushing through.
Your body is navigating significant change. Your nervous system is recalibrating. Your sense of self may be shifting.
And yet — you are still here, still moving forward and still adapting. That deserves acknowledgement. Midlife is not a quiet decline, for many women, it becomes a period of clarity — stronger boundaries, deeper self-trust, and a more honest relationship with what matters.
When we notice and celebrate our milestones we move from focusing on 'I'm barely coping' to noticing how much we have achieved that mindset shift is powerful.
So just think for a moment, what have you handled recently that once would have floored you?......That is a milestone and it’s worth celebrating!
Until next time,
Caroline
